Field NameDescription
Order TypeID, or unique numerical value of order type. 
DescriptionBrief description of order type.
Business LineType of delivery service being performed, which affects automatic time calculation for "Pickup within/Ready By" and "Delivery within/Deliver By".
GL CodeCorresponds with General Ledger code in QuickBooks. See GL Accounts.
Driver SplitUsed for driver pay calculation. Used to set up order types that pay the driver more, less, or not at all. This works in addition to the driver pay percentage(s) set in the Human Resource record. See Human Resources for more information.
Display OrderManual override of displayed order type sequence.
Tax ExemptIf checked, removes applicable sales tax from order.
Require delivery before invoicingIf checked, an order must be marked as delivered before it can be invoiced
Require verification before invoicingIf checked, an order must be marked as verified before it can be invoiced.
Automatically Confirm OrderAutomatically confirms order without having to select order as confirmed in Nextstop Mobile, X Mobile or in dispatch.

Adjust DELIVERY deadline byAdjusts automatic calculation for the delivery deadline when an order exceeds a certain number of miles to create more realistic delivery times.
Adjust PICKUP deadline byAdjusts automatic calculation for pickup deadline when an order exceeds a certain number of miles to create more realistic pickup times.
Prevent order type when distance is greater thanIf checked, prevents order type from being used if the distance from pickup address to delivery address is greater than this value.
Pickup withinAmount of time from when an order is placed that is given to pick it up before it is considered late.
Delivery withinAmount of time from when an order is placed that is given to deliver it before it is considered late.

Send to dispatch

If checked, orders with this order type will automatically be sent to the dispatch board, and orders using sort rules will display as on demand orders in Nextstop.

If unchecked, orders with this order type will not be sent to the dispatch board, and orders using sort rules will display as route stops in Nextstop. 

Dispatch show time

The time before pickup that a future order becomes an active order and is displayed on the active dispatch board.

Note

Orders outside the "active" order time frame are displayed as "future orders" and can be viewed by right-clicking the on demand dispatch board and selecting "Toggle current/future orders".


Pickup warning timeAmount of time before "Pickup within" deadline that an order is displayed as yellow on dispatch board.
Delivery warning timeAmount of time before "Delivery within" deadline, that an order is displayed as yellow on dispatch board.
Send to driverSend order dispatch message to driver.

OKCloses order type form. Changes are saved without the requirement to "Apply".

Deactivate

Prevents order type from appearing anywhere else in the application. The order type is not deleted, it's simply made unavailable. When an order type is deactivated, an "Activate" button appears. Press the "Activate" button to reactivate order type. 

Note

Deactivated order types are removed from the order types table (Maintenance > Order Types), but can be visible by enabling the "Show All" in the toolbar.


DeleteCompletely removes order type. Various warnings appear providing details of where order type is used. All such details must be deleted before order type is deleted.
