The Weight Ranges tables allow you to configure weight breaks that will be based on the weight set up on the orderin the created route stops. It is used with "Weight" chart types only.

Description

Zone begins with

Search for all weight break values that include the zone in the Zone column.

Zone

Zone for the pickup location.

Tip

Quick Tip: You can use *DEFAULT* as a wild card to use all zones for the location(s)that have not been set up in the Weight Ranges grid. See the example below.

WeightBreak

Weight amount to start charging.

Rate

The rate amount to charge.

Per

The number of pounds included in your rate. 

Minimum

Optional. The lowest amount charged for the weight break.

Plus

Optional. Additional dollar amount. If a negative amount is entered it will be subtracted from the calculated amount. 

Cap

Optional. Maximum amount charged for the weight break.

Always use next weight break if less expensive

Always assess the lower price if the previous weight break is lower.

Apply weight rating to SureRate

Allows you to add your weight rating when calculating the rate based on mileage from the general tab.

Always use the whole rate

Allows you to charge the entire amount when your weight amount exceeds the previous grouping.

Example

Always use the whole rate is enabled and you have a single line item with a Per of $10 for every grouping of 10 lbs, the rate chart would charge $10 for the 1st through 10th lbs, $20.00 for the 11th through 20th lbs, $30.00 for the 21st through 30th lbs, and so on. 

Weight Break Use

Use maximum value between the zone weight break and zone rate details

Use the higher price between the weight rate table charges and the base rate charges in the base rate Base Rate Details tab.

Use the combined values of the zone weight break and zone rate details

Use and combine the weight rate table charges and the base rate charges in the base rate Base Rate Details tab.

In this example, route stops in zone 02215 with a weight that is between 5 and 9 pounds rate at $1.00 per lb. Once the weight reaches 10 pounds, it will rate at $2.00 per lb.
