How To Disable Android Battery Optimization 

To ensure that you are able to enjoy the full functionality of the CXT Driver app and all features, it is important that you disable "android battery optimization". 

If you have an iPhone device, click here! If you have an Android, please follow the steps below depending on the device manufacturer. 

Samsung

 Expand for Instructions

Depending on the phone model, go to the smartphone's settings and follow these steps:

  1. Tap on "Applications" or "Apps"

  2. Tap on the three-dot menu (top right corner)

  3. Tap on "Special Access"

  4. Tap on "Optimize Battery usage"

OR

  1. Tap on "Device maintenance"

  2. Tap on "Battery"

  3. Tap on "Battery Usage"

  4. Tap on the three-dot menu (top right corner)

  5. Tap on "Optimize Battery usage"

On the "Optimize Battery" screen, if the Nextstop app is not listed as “Apps Not Optimized”, tap on "Apps not optimized" and then tap on "All apps". Search for "Nextstop" and disable that option.

Google Pixel

 Expand for Instructions
  1. Go to your smartphone's Settings

  2. Tap on "Apps & notifications"

  3. Tap on "Advanced"

  4. Tap on "Special app access"

  5. Tap on "Battery optimization"

If the Nextstop app is not listed as “Not Optimized”, tap on "Not optimized" and then tap on "All Apps". Search for "Nextstop" and tap on it, and then tap on "Don't Optimize".

Sony

  1. Go to your smartphone's Settings

  2. Tap on "Battery"

  3. Tap on the (...) menu in the top right corner and press "Battery optimization"

  4. Tap on "Apps"

  5. Tap on "Nextstop".

LG

 Expand for Instructions
  1. Go to your smartphone's Settings

  2. Tap "Battery & power saving"

  3. Tap on "Battery usage"

  4. Tap "Ignore optimizations"

  5. Turn "on" to ignore battery optimization for the Nextstop app.

One Plus

 Expand for Instructions
  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Tap on "Battery"

  3. Tap on "Battery optimization"

  4. Switch to the "All apps list" (top menu)

  5. Tap on Nextstop and choose "Don’t optimize"

  6. Go back to your smartphone Settings

  7. Select "Apps & notifications"

  8. Tap on "See all apps"

  9. Tap on the Nextstop app

  10. Then "Permissions"

  11. Toggle "on" for Location access

Motorola

 Expand for Instructions
  1. Go to your smartphone's Settings

  2. Tap "Battery"

  3. Tap on the menu in the top right corner

  4. Tap "Battery optimization"

  5. Tap "Not optimized"

  6. Tap "All Apps"

  7. Find Nextstop on this list and tap on "Don’t Optimize".

  8. Go back to your phone settings*

  9. Select "Battery"*

  10. Turn Battery Saver Mode off*

When your Motorola reaches a low level of battery (15% by default, although this can be customized), the battery saver mode automatically starts and ignores the battery optimization setting you've set above. To avoid this, ensure you follow steps 8, 9, and 10.

Huawei

 Expand for Instructions
  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Select “Apps”

  3. Select “Advanced” (at the bottom)

  4. Select “Ignore Optimizations”

  5. Press “Allowed” and select “All Apps”

  6. Find Nextstop on the list and set it to “Allow”

Nokia 7.x Devices

 Expand for Instructions
  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Select “Battery” then “Battery Optimization”

  3. Toggle Off optimization for Nextstop

  4. Go back to your smartphone Settings

  5. Select “Battery” then “Background Activity Manager”

  6. In the “Enable blacklist” menu, toggle Off for Nextstop

HTC Devices

 Expand for Instructions
  1. From the Home screen, tap the “9-dot candy box menu”, and then find and tap Settings.

  2. Tap Power.

  3. Tap Battery optimization.

  4. Tap Not optimized > All apps to see the complete list of apps.

  5. To turn off battery optimization for Nextstop, tap the app name, and then tap Don't optimize > Done.

MIUI Devices

 Expand for Instructions
  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Select “Additional Settings”

  3. Select “Battery & Performance”

  4. Select “Manage app’s battery usage”

  5. Choose apps and select Nextstop

  6. Go back to your smartphone Settings

  7. Select “Other permissions”

  8. On the permissions tab, choose “Start in the Background”

  9. Choose apps and select Nextstop

  10. Then "Permissions"

  11. Go back to your smartphone Settings

  12. Then “Permissions”

  13. Select “Autostart”, choose apps, and select Nextstop

How To Disable iOS Battery Optimization

 To ensure that you are able to enjoy the full functionality of the CXT Driver app and all features, it is important that you disable "Power Save Mode" for the Nextstop app. 

If you have an android device, click here! If you have an iPhone, please follow the steps below. 

 

Disable Power Save Mode From Your Settings

  1. Open "Settings."

  2. Scroll down and tap "Battery."

  1. If Low Power Mode is enabled, move the slider to the left to turn it off. The image below has the slider turned to the right, which means the Low Power Mode is enabled.

Disable Power Save Mode From the Control Center

  1. Access the Control Center. If you have an iPhone X or later, you can do this by swiping down from the right-hand corner of the screen. For older models, swipe up from the bottom.

  2. If Low Power Mode is enabled, the battery icon will be highlighted (image below). Tap on it to turn off lower power mode. Please note that Low Power Mode may not be a default icon in the Control Center. To add it to the Control Center, first, go to "Settings" then "Control Center" and "Customize Controls." Tap "Low Power Mode" to add it to the Control Center.
