Stop Consolidation in Nextstop 3

For driver documentation see Stop Consolidation.

Stop consolidation can be done automatically, based on time windows and addresses, or drivers can manually consolidate. In the Stops List, the number of stops consolidated displays on the left.

When stops that have force location settings applied are consolidated, the same enforcements will apply only to the parent stop ID in the consolidation.

Automatic Stops Consolidation

When stops are consolidated automatically, the stops' addresses must match exactly (including any spaces), Forced Location Scan must be set to “None”, and times must match or overlap based on the following criteria:

  • If stop 1 starts at or before stop 2, stop 1 must end during, at, or after stop 2 ends.

  • If stop 1 starts after stop 2 starts, stop 1 must end before or after stop 2 ends.

Status Codes

Adding status codes to a consolidation at the stop level attaches the status codes to all the stops in the consolidated list. Drivers can delete status codes from individual stops.

Quick Tip: When adding status codes in a consolidated stop at the stop level, status codes will be added to the stop only when available for that stop's customer.

See Status Codes in Nextstop 3.

Accessorial Items

You can add accessorial items to selected stops in the consolidation or all to all stops in the consolidation.

See Accessorials in Nextstop 3.

Attachments

Adding attachments to a consolidation will add the attachment to all the stops in the consolidation. You can delete attachments from individual stops.

See Attachments in Nextstop 3.

Parcels

You can scan or manually enter parcels. Scans of expected parcels on stops that are consolidated inside Nextstop will parse to the correct stop. When an overage is scanned, the driver will be asked which of the consolidated stops it should be paired with.

See Parcels in Nextstop 3.
