Re-Rating Recurring and On Demand Orders from the Find Tool

You can re-rate recurring orders from the Adjust Recurring Orders Rates in the Tools menu or re-rate orders from the Find tool.

Adjust Recurring Order Rates

The Adjust Recurring Order Rates in the Tools menu allows you to re-rate recurring orders.

This will open the find service and populate it with the list of recurring orders. It will also bring up the Bulk Order Update - Recurring Orders window so that you can select what part of the order to re-rate.

If you would only like to re-rate the surcharges (and not the base rates) you can select to only re-rate the surcharges. Any order with locked rates/driver pay will not be re-rated unless the “Allow changes to Orders with locked rates/pay” is checked.  Checking this box will also bring up a message asking if you are sure you want to re-calculate locked orders. This is set in place so orders that have had a user override put in place, and the order rate has been locked, no change will occur to the rate overrides.  This is up to the individual executing the re-rate action, to indicate if they want the locked orders to re-rate.

Once the Rate Orders button has been clicked and the orders re-rated, the new and old price comparisons will be displayed in the columns shown below. The Price Change column is where the change will be displayed.

Find Bulk Order Update

Re-rating can be done from the Find tool using the Bulk Order Update option. Here, you will create a query to gather the orders you are looking to re-rate. You can pick orders based on any criteria, you can re-rate every order for one customer, orders for a specific date range, certain order types only, and the list goes on. You can also select orders based on the driver if you need to re-calculate driver pay.  The option to re-rate orders through the Find tool will only become available when you have created the parameters under which to find the orders to re-rate and have ran the find to get a result set. The Bulk Order Update button will stay grayed out until you do this. Once you have selected the Bulk Order Update option from the top, the "Re-Rate Orders" window will pop up.  Like the re-rate recurring orders process, you have the same options available.  Notice when re-rating driver pay, the bottom selections are grayed out.  This is because you can only re-rate one part of the order at a time (either order rates, or driver pay).

When re-rating orders or driver pay, three new columns are added to the resulting detail to show the original rate or pay, the re-rated rate or pay, and the difference between the old and new totals.
