🔄 Important Update: Switch from FTP to FTPS

🔄 Important Update: Switch from FTP to FTPS

To enhance the security of file transfers, we are requiring all customers to update their FTP client settings to use FTPS (FTP over TLS encryption).

Depending on the current configuration, it may need to be updated to:

  • Just enable FTPS (TLS encryption)
    or

  • Update both the server address and enable FTPS

Read below to determine which steps will apply.

If you use 3rd-party integration partners, these steps will need to be completed by each of them as well, or your integrations may stop working. Please ensure that your integration partners are aware of the change and make arrangements to ensure that these changes are completed prior to August 31.

If your integration partner/s would like to speak with someone from CXT Software, we can schedule a support meeting. Please make this request through our Support Portal.

Please note that when your integration partners make these changes, you will be unable to process data with their integration until they've completed the change on their side. Once they have completed the change, items will begin processing again. This change should only take 1-2 minutes to complete at the most.

While you have until August 31, we would recommend you make the swap to FTPS at your next convenience, as you may need to allow time for communication with your 3rd-party integration partners.

Please note in some cases you will need to use ftps:// or sftp:// in front of your connection string. Please see your 3rd party manual to setup the connection string properly.
