Opening the re-rate tool

This can be done in bulk with the re-rate orders tool.  The tool for re-rating recurring orders can be found under Tools > Adjust Recurring Order Rates.

This will open the find service and populate it with the list of recurring orders.  It will as well, bring up the Re-Rate Recurring Orders window so that you can select what part of the order to re-rate.  In this example, we will re-rate the "Order Rate".

Selecting what charges to re-rate

There are two options, re-rate the order or re-rate the driver pay.  In this example, we will re-rate the "Order Rate" only.

If you would only like to re-rate the surcharges (and not the base rates) you can select to only Re-Rate the surcharge charges.  Any order with locked rates will not be re-rated unless the 'Allow Changes to Orders with Locked Rates' is checked.  Checking this box will also bring up a message asking if you are sure you want to re-calculate locked orders.  This is set in place so orders that have had a user override put in place, and the order rate has been locked, no change will occur to the rate overrides.  This is up to the individual executing the re-rate action, to indicate if they want the locked orders to re-rate.

Once the "Rate Orders" button has been selected, the system will go through the orders in the query and re-rate them.  The new and old price comparisons will be displayed in the columns shown below.  The "Price Change" column is where the change will be displayed.

Re-rating from the Find tool

There is also a Rate Orders option in the Find tool, so non-recurring orders can be re-rated.  Here, you will have to create a query to pull up the orders you are looking to re-rate.  You have the option to pick orders based on any criteria, you can re-rate every order for one customer, orders for a specific date range, certain order types only, and the list goes on.  You can also select orders based on the driver if you need to re-calculate driver pay.  The option to re-rate orders through the Find tool will only become available when you have created the parameters under which to find the orders to re-rate.  The "Rate Orders" button will stay grayed out until you do this.

In the example below, you can see the "Rate Orders" button at the top, as well as the highlighted parameters for the query.  The "Rate Orders" button will only become available after you have created the query and clicked the execute button.

Once you have selected the "Rate Orders" option from the top, the "Re-Rate Orders" window will pop up.  Like the re-rate recurring orders process, you have the same options available.  Notice when re-rating driver pay, the bottom selections are grayed out.  This is because you can only re-rate one part of the order at a time (either order rates, or driver pay).

In this next screenshot, we completed the re-rate of driver pay.  When re-rating driver pay, three new columns are added to the resulting detail.  The "Old Total Pay" column will show the original pay for the driver, the "New Total Pay" column will show the re-rated pay for the driver, and the "Total Pay Change" column will show the difference between the old and new totals.

The highlighted order shown below is an example where the driver's pay was changed by the re-rate process.
