  • Best practices for using Bluetooth scanning is to pair your Bluetooth scanner BEFORE enabling Bluetooth scanning in Nextstop Mobile. Enabling Bluetooth scanning without a Bluetooth scanner already paired results in the keyboard appearing any time the app is expecting input.

  • To pair a Bluetooth scanner to your mobile device, please refer to your mobile device or Bluetooth scanner's instruction manual on how to pair with an Android or iOS device.

Enabling Bluetooth scanning without a paired Bluetooth scanner will cause the keyboard to display.

Enable Bluetooth Scanning from Settings

  1. Pair your Bluetooth scanner with your mobile device.

  2. In the Nextstop app, tap the menu in the top left and select Settings.

  3. Select Scanning.

  4. Toggle Enable Bluetooth Scanning to green (on).

Enable Bluetooth Scanning from the Stops List

  1. Pair your Bluetooth scanner with your mobile device.

  2. In the Nextstop app, tap the green options menu in the bottom right.

  3. Toggle Enable Bluetooth Scanning to green (on).

  1. Pair your Bluetooth scanner with your mobile device.

  2. In the Nextstop app, tap the green options menu in the bottom right.

  3. Toggle Enable Bluetooth Scanning to green (on).

Scanning Prefix/Suffix

This option may not be available due to your user’s permission setup.

You can add a prefix or suffix to parcels scanned by Bluetooth scanners by entering a Scanning Prefix and/or Scanning Suffix.

Changing this may cause unexpected results.

  1. In the Nextstop app, tap the menu in the top left and select Settings.

  2. Enter a Scanning Prefix and/or Scanning Suffix.
