Customer types do not have any default values so that you can customize this for your business. Examples include "Legal", "Medical" or "Retail" and can be used to group together customers for custom reporting. See Find for more information.
To get to the Customer Types section, go to Maintenance > Customer Types.
Field Name | Description |
---|---|
Type | Description of customer type. |
ID | Read only. Unique numerical ID for customer type. |
Go to Maintenance > Customer Types.
Click the + button in the top right.
This will also update any customer record that uses this customer type. |
Go to Maintenance > Customer Types.
Click the customer type you would like to edit or click the action menu at the end of the row and select Edit.
Quick Tip: You can open 2 edit forms by selecting the checkboxes of the customer types and clicking the edit pencil icon in the top right. |
Go to Maintenance > Customer Types.
Check the checkbox of the customer type(s) you would like to delete.
Click the delete button in the top right.
There is a Customer Type field in the customer record General tab. Use the drop down to select from your customer types.
Users need to have permission to be able to add or edit customer types.
Go to Maintenance > Users.
Click the user you would like to give permissions to or click the action menu at the end of the row and select Edit.
Search for “customer types” and check the box for Customer Types and/or Edit Customer Types.
Follow the steps above to uncheck the boxes.
