Dimensional Weight Calculator

This article is for the Operations App. See for the Classic Operations App.

The Dimensional Weight Calculator allows you to calculate the theoretical weight of a package based on its dimensions. This can be helpful when filling trucks since the dimensional weight aligns weight to size.

The Dimensional Weight Calculator is accessible in the parcel edit form in the Parcel Portal.

Dimensional Weight Hierarchy

The following is the order in which weight is applied.

  1. If dimensional weight is on an order or route stop, this is what will be used.

  2. If no dimensional weight is on an order or route stop, the parcel dimensional weight on the order or route stop is used.

  3. If parcel dimensional weights are not available, the regular parcel weights on the order or route stop are used.

    • If some parcels have a dimensional weight and the other parcels have only a regular parcel weight, the weight used will be the sum of these weights available.

  4. If any of the parcels do not have either dimensional or regular parcel weight values, the weight on the order or route stop will be used. For example, if you have 4 parcels and 3 of them have dimensional or regular parcel weight values, but 1 of them does not, the weight values from the main order or route stop will be used.
