How to Add a New Route

  1. Go to X RoutePlanning.
  2. Click the New button.

  1. Click the arrow next to the New button, or press Alt + N keys. 
  2. Select Route.

How to Edit a Route

  1. Go to X RoutePlanning.
  2. Double click on the route you want to edit in the Routes list.

How to Disable a Route

  1. Go to X RoutePlanning.
  2. Right click on the route you want to disable in the Routes list.
  3. Select Disable.

Route Form

Field NameDescription
Route ID

The unique alphanumeric ID of the route. 

Quick Tip

Route ID cannot be more than 10 characters, cannot have spaces and can only have letters and/or numbers.

DescriptionName or description of the route.
Reference

An internal reference for company use. 

Example

Some routes may be dedicated while others are not.  A reference value of "Dedicated" could be used to indicate these routes.

The driver assigned to the route.

Clicking the Driver... button brings up the driver record.

Fleet

The fleet the route is assigned to.

Group FolderThe group folder the route is in.
Route Pay
Pay Style

Determines how the driver is paid.

  • Per Route - Pay the amount from the Pay Amount field
  • Per Stop - Pay the amount from the Pay Amount field multiplied by the number of stops on the driver's route manifest. The number of stops includes scheduled stops as well as any distribution or reassigned scheduled stops.
  • Per Piece - Pay the amount from the Pay Amount field multiplied by the total number of pieces from the driver's stops in the pieces field.
  • Percentage - Pay the sum of the price of all the stops multiplied by the driver's route percentage, found in his/her Human Resource record.
  • Per Schedule - Pay according to a set schedule. 

    Quick Tips

    • Use the Schedule button is used to set up the pay schedule.
    • Use the Per Route Reversal field to set an amount to subtract from the normal pay if the driver does not work for that route on a given day.

    Example

    Use this pay style to pay the driver $60.00 every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday whether any work is done on the route or not. 

Pay Amount

The dollar amount used with the Pay Style.

Disabled if Pay Style is set to "Percentage".

Minimum route pay weekday

The minimum payment amount for the route for weekdays.

Example

If the minimum is set at $50.00, the driver will always receive at least $50.00 for the route.

Maximum route pay weekday

The maximum payment amount for the route for weekdays. 

 Example

If the maximum is set at $150.00, the driver will never receive more than $150.00 for the route.

Minimum route pay weekendThe minimum payment amount for the route for the weekend.
Maximum route pay weekendThe maximum payment amount for the route for the weekend.
Estimated MileageThe estimated mileage for the entire route.

Track stops individually

Each stop on the route must be individually marked with completion time and POD.

Track first and last stops only

When the first and last stop on the manifest is completed, uncompleted stops on the manifest will have the same completion time as the last stop and the completion type of "Tracked By Last Stop". 

Stops must be sequenced. For example, if all stops have a 0 sequence, Track first and last stops only will not work as intended.

Driver Surcharge
Surcharge Amount %Driver surcharge percentage amount for the route.

Stops

The Stops tab is divided into two sections. The top section, Stops of Route, lists stops that belong to the route. The bottom section, Unassigned Stops, lists stops that are unassigned. 

Quick Tips

  • Click on the stop ID to view the location and details of the stop.
  • Double click the route stop ID to open the stop form to view/edit the stop.

Import Schedule

The Import Schedule tab allows you to enable and schedule an import schedule for the route.  When not enabled, imported route stops can map to this route on any day of the week. When enabled, imported route stop mapped to this route will import to the next postdate available.

Example

The route import schedule is enabled, and Monday - Friday are checked as active import days.  

  • If a route stop is imported on Friday, the imported route stop will map to this route on Friday.
  • If a route stop is imported on Saturday, the imported route stop will map to this route on Monday.
