How to Uninstall, Clear Cache, Reboot, and Reinstall the Driver App on your Android

You may be asked (or need) to uninstall and reinstall the Driver App if you are experiencing issues or for a fresh start.

How to Delete and Uninstall the Driver App

  1. Touch and hold the Driver App icon.

  2. Select Uninstall.

  3. Confirm that you would like to uninstall.

Alternate steps:

  1. Open the Google Play Store app.

  2. Search for and select “CXT Driver”.

  3. Tap Uninstall

  4. Confirm that you would like to uninstall.

How to Clear Cache for the Driver App on your Android

  1. Touch and hold the Driver App icon.

  2. Select i.

  3. Select Storage.

  4. Select Clear Cache.

Alternate steps:

  1. Open the Settings of your phone.

  2. Tap the Apps setting.

  3. Tap on CXT Driver

  4. Tap on Storage

  5. Tap the Clear cache button.

How to Reboot or Restart your Android

  1. Press the power button on your device (it’s usually on the top or right side but can also be on the left) for a few seconds to launch the onscreen power menu.

  2. Tap Restart if the option is available, and then wait for your device to reboot.

  3. If Restart is not an option:

    1. Tap Power Off (or the equivalent on your device), and then wait for your phone or tablet to switch off completely.

    2. Once your device is off, press the power button to turn it on again.

  1. From your Android device open the Google Play app.

  2. Search for CXT Software by tapping the magnifying glass and entering CXT Software.

  3. Tap the Driver App icon from the search results.

  4. Tap the Install button.
