How to Add Your Chat Widget in the Client Portal

In the Operations App, you must have the Client Portal Customization permission to view and the Edit Client Portal Customization permission to edit. See Users.

In the Classic Operations App, you must have the Rapidship Customization permission to view and the Edit Rapidship Customization permission to edit. See Users (Classic Operations App).

You can embed my Chat Support widgets in the Client Portal, to allow better communication with my customers.

It is displayed in the bottom right of the selected pages.

Instructions

This cannot be saved on the default “CXT Rapidship” profile.

The following chat providers have been tested for compatibility and can be set up without CXT Software team member assistance:

  • Zendesk

The following chat providers have been tested for compatibility but will require CXT Software team member assistance before initial use:

  • LiveChat

  • LiveAgent

  • FreshChat

  • Olark Chat

  • Tidio

  1. Go to the Client Portal Customization form.

  2. In the bottom right, select the Chat Widget Integration tab.

  3. Click the save icon.

Customizations

You can enter Javascript to customize the chat widget using the following variable can be used to add customer or user information:

  • username - Internet user’s username

  • userFullName / userFirstName / userLastName - Internet user’s name

  • userEmail - Internet user’s email

  • primaryCustomerFullName / primaryCustomerFirstName / primaryCustomerLastName - Internet user’s primary customer name

  • selectedCustomerFullName / selectedCustomerFirstName / selectedCustomerLastName - Name of the selected customer in the Client Portal

  • selectedCustomerEmail - Email of the selected customer in the Client Portal
