Nextstop 2 Alternative Download for Android Users

ALTERNATIVE DOWNLOAD OPTION

We are now offering an alternative download option for Android users that still want to utilize our older Nextstop 2 functionality, but don’t have access to the Google Play Store, are having trouble finding the app in the store, or do not have a device running Android 8 or later.

  • Side-loaded versions of the application have complete feature parity and work exactly the same as a version that was published in the Google Play Store.

NEXTSTOP 2 APK SIDELOAD INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Ensure that you are using an Android device; APK files are not compatible with other device types.

  2. Open the device’s browser and navigate to the following download link.

  3. Download the file.

  4. After downloading the file, locate it in the downloads or files section on your device.

  5. Click on the file and tap "Install".

  6. If your device doesn’t allow installation from unknown sources, please see this article for instructions.

  7. After the install is complete, you should be able to use Nextstop 2.

  8. If you experience any issues with getting the APK files to sideload on your device, please contact technical support at 1-602-265-0195, so our staff can help troubleshoot.

PLEASE NOTE

When using an APK side-loaded version, we do not recommend uninstalling and reinstalling in order to get a “refresh” of the app. You can achieve the same results by using the following “Clear Cache” workflow.

Clear Cache Workflow

  • The quickest way to navigate to the Clear Cache functionality is by holding down the Nextstop app icon>App Info>Storage>CLEAR CACHE.

  • Users can also get there by going to Settings>Apps & Notifications>Nextstop>Storage>CLEAR CACHE

  • Please see the screenshots below to help guide you through the Clear Cache process. (The instructions are the same for Nextstop 2 or 3)
