X Stream Route Mappings
Route mappings allow you to customize the route translations by using a single value or a combination of 2 values for each customer that you are importing route stops for using X Stream.
Go to X Stream > Route Mappings.
Column Name | Description |
---|---|
Customer ID | The customer ID for route translation. Quick Tip: To apply the same route translation to multiple customers, enter the translation for each individual customer ID. |
Translation Type |
|
Reference1 | The first value used as a key to look up the route translation from the import file. This is usually a postal code of the delivery address or a route ID specified by the customer within the import file. Used only to import configuration settings and do not relate to the Reference fields on route stops. |
Reference2 | The second value used as a key to look up the route translation from the import file. Used only to import configuration settings and do not relate to the Reference fields on route stops. |
Translation | Route ID that the imported stop will be assigned to for the route translation. |
Alternate Lookup | Visible when "Enable Alternate Lookup" is enabled in Global Options. The alternate lookup value is used to support customers that require alphanumeric customer id. This field is auto-populated. |

Examples
Single Reference
A single value, Reference1, is used to determine the intended route of the imported route stop.
The Reference1 key is a postal code for the stop address. If the imported route stop is for customer 1002 and the postal code of the address is 85004, it will be assigned to ROUTE3. If the imported route stop is for customer 1002 and the postal code of the address is 85215, it will be assigned to ROUTE4.
Dual Reference
Two values, Reference1 and Reference2, are used to determine the intended route of the imported route stop.
The Reference1 key is the customer's route ID and the Reference2 key is a location code specified in the import file. If the imported route stop is for customer 1001, has a customer route ID of D1001, and has a location code of 020, the stop will be assigned to ROUTE1. If the imported route stop is for customer 1001, has a customer route ID of D1001, and has a location code of 080, the stop will be assigned to ROUTE2.
Override Stamp Rate Chart
Override Stamp Rate Chart translations allow specifying a rate chart other than the default chart assigned to the customer, and are frequently used to avoid double charging on Receive or Load stops in the event of route chaining.
Example
The customer default rate chart on customer record is set to rate at $0 per piece to avoid charging pieces on stops.
The Reference1 key is used to differentiate the stop (using a value assigned to the stop in the import configuration file) and the Translation is used to point to the rate chart to charge pieces for each imported stop. This will allow the charges to be only on the imported stop and not add pieces on the load and receive stops.
If the imported stop has a value of "OSRC1", it will rate using Rate Chart #2 as specified in the Translation column.
