How to Configure Image Settings

All global image settings are configured in the Global Options form. When settings are changed, all images uploaded after the change will follow these settings. Previously uploaded images will not be affected.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Click the Options button on the toolbar.

  2. On the Company tab fill in the "Maximum Image Size Allowed [MB]".  The default Maximum Image Size Allowed is set at 1MB and it is possible to increase the setting to a higher number, but uploading large images rapidly fills up your database.

  3. The "Automatically Compress Larger Image" option is used to compress images larger than the "Maximum Image Size Allowed".  Images are compressed at 10% increments, from 90% to 50%, until the image is at or below the max image size setting.

    • If the "Automatically Compress Larger Image" option  is selected and the image is still above the max image size at 50% compression, you will receive a warning and be asked if you would like to save the image.

    • If the "Automatically Compress Larger Image" option is not selected and the image is still above the max image size, you will receive a message and not be allowed to save the image.
