Set As Default Rate Chart

The default rate chart(s) are used when a customer does not have a rate chart(s) set in the Accounting tab of the customer record. You can change the default rate chart(s) by using Set As Default Chart… option.

Instructions

  1. Go to Maintenance > Rate Charts.

  2. Right-click on the Base Rate, Items, and/or Surcharges rate you would like to set as a default and select Set As Default Chart…

     

Example

You have a customer that does not have Rate Charts assigned on their customer record.

Quick Tip: When you click the down arrow button under Rate Charts, no checkmark in front of the chart type means that a rate chart is not assigned.

When you place an order for the customer, you are able to select an Order Type based on the default chart, “1 - Example Standard Rate Chart”.
