How Does it Work?
The Operations App will check if an order falls into one of the piece breaks listed. In a tiered rating situation, the rating calculation will not look at the previous rate, only the line specifying the rating for the applicable item break.

Example
In this example, route stops in zone 85027 between 5 and 10 pieces rate at $1.50 per piece. Once the number of pieces reaches 11, it will rate at $0.75 per piece.
5-10 $1.50 per piece | 11-15 $0.75 per piece |
---|---|
5 = $7.50 6 = $9.00 7 = $10.50 8 = $12.00 9 = $13.50 10 = $15.00 | 11 = $8.25 12 = $9.00 13 = $9.75 14 = $10.50 15 = 11.25 |
However, if you have a Rate greater than 0 set in the Stamp Rate Details tab on the stamp rate chart with the same Zone, the rate will change depending on the "Piece Break Use" selected.
5-10 $1.50 per piece with Stamp Rate $10.00 "Use maximum value..." | 5-10 $1.50 per piece with Stamp Rate $10.00 "Use the combined values..." |
---|---|
5 = $10.00 6 = $10.00 7 = $10.50 8 = $12.00 9 = $13.50 10 = $15.00 | 5 = $17.50 6 = $19.00 7 = $20.50 8 = $22.00 9 = $23.50 10 = $25.00 |
Example Using *DEFAULT*
*DEFAULT* is a wild card to use any zones for the location(s) that have not been set up in the Piece Range grid.

However, if you have a Rate greater than 0 set in the Stamp Rate Details tab on the stamp rate chart with the same Zone, the rate will change depending on the "Piece Break Use" selected.
5-10 $1.50 per piece with Stamp Rate $7.50 "Use maximum value..." | 5-10 $1.50 per piece with Stamp Rate $10.00 "Use maximum value..." | 5-10 $1.50 per piece with Stamp Rate $7.50 "Use the combined values..." | 5-10 $1.50 per piece with Stamp Rate $10.00 "Use the combined values..." |
---|---|---|---|
5 = $7.50 6 = $9.00 7 = $10.50 8 = $12.00 9 = $13.50 10 = $15.00 | 5 = $10.00 6 = $10.00 7 = $10.50 8 = $12.00 9 = $13.50 10 = $15.00 | 5 = $15.00 6 = $16.50 7 = $18.00 8 = $19.50 9 = $21.00 10 = $22.50 | 5 = $17.50 6 = $19.00 7 = $20.50 8 = $22.00 9 = $23.50 10 = $25.00 |
