Parcel Types

This page is for the Operations App. For the Classic Operations App please see Parcel Types (Classic Operations App).

Parcel types are used to describe the type of parcels. For example "Box" or "Pallet".

To get to the Parcel Types section, go to Maintenance > Parcel Types.

Active

Displays a green check  for active parcel types and a red x  for inactive parcel types.

Description

Description of the parcel type.

ID

Auto generated number to identify the parcel type.

Standard Length

Default length of the parcel type. This is needed if you wish the system to calculate the approximate weight using the Dimensional Weight Calculator

Standard Width

Default width of the parcel type. This is needed if you wish the system to calculate the approximate weight using the Dimensional Weight Calculator.

Standard Height

Default height of the parcel type. This is needed if you wish the system to calculate the approximate weight using the Dimensional Weight Calculator.

Standard Weight

Default weight of the parcel type. 

Dimensional Weight Denominator

Dimensional factor to use for calculating dimensional weight (a calculated the theoretical weight of a package based on its dimensions).

Dimensional Weight Online Denominator

When the Dimensional Weight Denominator and calculated dimensional weight is applied to orders placed online through the customer portal.

Allow In Mobile

  • Y: Parcel type is allowed in the Driver App. 

  • N: Parcel type is not allowed in the Driver App.

Enable All Customers

Enable the status code for all customers.

Disable All Customers

Disable the status code for all customers.

How to Create a New Parcel Type

  1. Go to Maintenance > Parcel Types.

  2. Click the + button in the top right.

How to Edit a Parcel Type

  1. Go to Maintenance > Parcel Types.

  2. Click the parcel type you would like to edit or click the action menu at the end of the row and select Edit

Quick Tip

You can open 2 edit forms by selecting the checkboxes of the parcel types and clicking the edit pencil icon in the top right.

How to Delete a Parcel Type

  1. Go to Maintenance > Parcel Types. 

  2. Check the checkbox of the parcel type(s) you would like to delete. 

  3. Click the delete button in the top right.

ID

Auto generated number to identify the parcel type. Read-only field displayed when editing a parcel type.

Description

Required. Description of the parcel type. 

Standard Length

Default width of the parcel type. This is needed if you wish the system to calculate the approximate weight using the Dimensional Weight Calculator.

Dimensional Weight Denominator

Dim Weight For Online Orders

When the Dimensional Weight Denominator and calculated dimensional weight should be applied to orders being placed online through the Customer Portal.

  • Automatically Apply

Dimensional weight lower than 1lb will be rounded to 1lb.

Mobile Display

Whether or not the parcel type is allowed in the Driver App.

Parcel Refrigeration Type Enforcement

Enforcement level for Driver App users to select from Frozen, Refrigerated, Ambient, or Room Temperature refrigeration types when the parcel type is selected on orders and route stops.

  • Required w/ Refrigeration Code Scan Match

Refrigeration type can be automatically pulled from a scanned parcel barcode by setting up mapping within Parcel Refrigeration Type Codes and selecting the “Required w/Refrigeration Code Scan Match”.

Translations Tab

Add and remove translations used when placing orders for an integration or through the web service.
