Operations App

 

The modern Operations App takes your back-office functions to the next level. With an improved user experience, you get the same access to the capabilities of the classic Operations App in an intuitive web-based interface. The modern version is accessible through current web browsers including Chrome and Firefox.

The new Operations App is growing with each release, and will soon be a full-featured web-based application that can replace your desktop app!

In the interim, you can jump to the Operations App (new web-based platform) from within your Cloud Client desktop Operations App anytime or from a direct URL (see below). Check out, or even use, the updated platform anytime.

 

 

How to Access

Login credentials are the user ID and password set in the Users section. The best practice is to set the user's password the same as the one within Cloud Client to allow users the ability to log in automatically when accessing from the Cloud Client.

Quick Tip: You will be logged out after 3 hours of inactivity. This time can be adjusted between 0 to 180 minutes by contacting Technical Support.

From Cloud Client

You can access the Operations App from the Operations link at the top of the Cloud Client or in the Desktop Operations App by clicking Operations in the toolbar.

From Browser

To access the Operations App from your web browser, go to https://CXTID0.cxtsoftware.net/xdispatch where CXTID is your 4-digit CXT customer ID.

As Progressive Web App

The Operations App can be added to your device as a progressive web app, or PWA, so that it can be easily accessed from the desktop or home screen of your device.

Not available in MacOS

Install CXT Operations

  1. From your web browser, go to https://CXTID0.cxtsoftware.net/xdispatch where CXTID is your 4-digit CXT customer ID.

  2. In the address bar click the icon to add/install CXT Operations. This varies based on your web browser.

    • In Chrome on a computer, click the Install icon.

    • In Microsoft Edge, click the App available icon.

    • In Safari on your iOS device, tap the Share button on the menu bar. It’s an icon on the right side that’s a box with an arrow sticking out from it.

      • Tap on Add to Home Screen.

      • Tap on Add in the upper-right corner to add the shortcut to your home

    • In Chrome on an Android device, tap the menu icon in the top right (three vertical dots).

      • Tap Add to Home screen

      • Tap Add.

How to Collapse/Expand Navigation

You can collapse or expand the navigation on the left by clicking the Collapse or Expand icon.

Action Menu

The action menu is accessed by clicking the 3 dots in the left navigation.

Toggle Light/Dark Mode

You can choose between light and dark mode when viewing the Operations App.

Business Units

You can filter human resource records in the Operations App by business unit filters.

The form is split into two sections, on the left is a list of the business units you have permission and on the right is a list of business units you do not have permission to.

Click the Toggle All button to select all the business units you have permission to. If all the business units are selected, this will de-select all of the business units.

Edit Page Layout

Visible Columns

You can select which columns to display/hide by clicking the Edit Layout cog icon.

This will allow you to select the visible columns.

Table and Card Views

You can switch between a table or card view by clicking the Table View or Card View icons.

Resize Record Display

After opening a record, you can control the size of the display by dragging the double arrow icon that appears when you hover over the edge.
