Status codes also referred to as "exception codes", are used to identify an exception to normal delivery. For example, bad weather, road closure, or unable to deliver a package.
Status codes are set up in Maintenance > Status Codes.
Field Name | Description |
---|---|
Exception ID | Unique alphanumeric ID for the status code. |
Description | Name or description of the status code. |
Exception Type | Select the type to allow the status code to be used for:
|
Internet Display | Select True to display status codes in the Client Portal. |
Mobile Display | Select True to display of status code in the Driver App. This setting overrides the status code configuration on the customer record. |
AddToAllCustomers | Enable the status code for all customers by clicking the grey box in this column. |
How to Add a Status Code
Go to Maintenance > Status Code.
Enter an Exception ID.
Enter a Description.
Select Exception Type.
Optional: Enable InternetDispaly, MobileDisplay, AddToAllCustomers.
Click the save icon in the toolbar.
How to Edit a Status Code
Status codes should only be edited if not in use.
Go to Maintenance > Status Code.
Click the status code field you would like to edit.
Click the save icon in the toolbar.
How to Delete a Status Code
Go to Maintenance > Status Codes.
Click on the box to the left of the Exception ID you would like to delete.
Click the delete icon in the toolbar or press the delete button.
Click the save icon in the toolbar.
User Permissions for Status Codes
Available status codes are set on the customer level. This means that the available status codes for each order or stop will depend on the available status codes set in the Status Codes tab on the customer record. See Customers - New/Edit Customer.
Client Portal
You can choose whether or not a status code is visible in the Client Portal by checking the box in the InternetDisplay column when adding or editing a status code.
Driver App
You can choose whether or not a status code is visible to drivers by checking the box in the MobileDisplay column when adding or editing a status code. If this box is unchecked, drivers will not see the status code, regardless of the configuration on the customer record.
Alternatively, you can choose whether or not to allow a driver to add status codes to stops or parcels in the Driver App. This will also affect whether or not a driver can view and/or edit status codes. You can set this for a group of drivers or individual drivers.
Group of Drivers
Go to Maintenance > Mobile Option Sets.
Click on the mobile option you would like to edit.
Enable or disable "Allow Stop Level Status Codes" and/or "Allow Parcel Level Exception Codes".

Individual Driver
Go to Maintenance > Mobile Users.
Click on the mobile user you would like to edit.
Go to the Mobile Options tab.
Enable or disable "Allow Stop Level Status Codes" and/or "Allow Parcel Level Exception Codes".

Status Codes in the Classic Operations App
Status codes can be found on order and route stop forms. Status codes can also be used on parcels associated with both orders or route stops. See Parcels - Parcel Scan Details.
Orders
Status Codes tab on an order form. You can view, add, edit or delete status codes for the order. See Orders.
Routes and Route Stops
The number of status codes for a route can be seen from the X Route Dispatch board in the StatusCode column. See X Route - Dispatch.
The status code for a stop can be viewed in the Status Codes tab on a stop form. You can view, add, edit or delete status codes for the stop. See Dispatch - New / Edit Posted Route Stop.
Parcels (Order or Route Stop)
Exception codes (also known as status codes) can be viewed in the Parcels manifest window.
Exception Codes can be added or edited on the Scan Details form.
Order
Click the red i icon to open the parcel manifest screen. Then right-click and select Edit Scan Details.
Route Stop
Click the Distribution Parcels icon to open the parcel manifest screen. Then right-click and select Edit Scan Details.
Status Codes in the Driver App
Status codes can be associated with stops and/or parcels in the Driver App. See Status Codes in the Driver App.
Status Codes in the Client Portal
Track Order
Status codes can be viewed in the track order information. From the Track Order page, click the View Details button for the order or stop you would like to view. If there are status codes associated with the order or stop it will display under Status Codes. See Track Order.
Route Tracking
Status codes for stops can be viewed in the route tracking section. From the Route Tracking page, click the on the route or View Details button. Then, click on the stop you would like to view. If there are status codes associated with the stop, it will display under Status Info. See Route Tracking.
